Voice Search Optimization for Websites: Adapting to Changing User Behaviors

-

In 10 to 20 years from now, we will look back on the first two decades of the 21st century as an era that was largely defined and carried by super-advanced technology.

Consider this: The smartphone you carry around in your pocket is far more advanced now than the computer system used for the 1969 Apollo 11 mission — in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first and second humans to walk on the moon, respectively.

Just watch your favorite movies and television shows pre-21st century. You simply couldn’t text or make a quick call to a friend if you were running late to a meetup. Long before Google could help you within seconds, you had to go to the local library to find answers to your questions. Lyft or Uber? Decades away.

With technology more advanced than ever — cell phones, voice searches, etc —, it’s made things easier for sportsbooks and the online casino industry to further enhance and expose their product to a national audience.

When optimizing casino websites for voice search, it’s crucial to focus on conversational content that aligns with the way users naturally speak their queries. Incorporating long-tail keywords that reflect user intents, such as “best Michigan online casinos for blackjack,” can improve visibility in voice search results.

The state of Michigan launched legalized sports betting back in Jan. 2021. Fast forward to the halfway point of 2023, and Michigan remains one of the nation’s leaders in the sports gambling world.

Residents of “The Great Lake State” interested in trying out sports betting can take advantage of several special offers from the top sportsbooks. This includes a 100 percent deposit match of up to $1,000 from BetMGM plus 100 bonus spins, a 100 percent deposit match of up to $2,000 plus $10 on registration from Caesars and a 100 percent deposit match of up to $1,500 from Pokerstars.

Voice Search Optimization For Casinos

Voice-controlled assistant programs like Alexa and Siri have been key developments in the rise of sports betting. If you have such a program set up, you can simply make requests like “Alexa, play song X”, and ask questions like “Siri, what is the capital city of France?”.

Voice search optimization makes things much easier for online and in-person casinos. Let’s say you’re taking a road trip to Michigan and want to stop for a recreational gambling session. You can simply ask your voice-controlled program, “(Siri or Alexa, etc.): What are the best casinos in Michigan?”

Let’s say you want to place online wagers or play your favorite casino games (poker, roulette, slots, etc.). All you have to do is say “Open (name of the sportsbook you’re using”, then you can specify what sport/category you want (Say “Hockey” or “Football, etc.”) and away you go.

Voice search optimization for casino websites can make your day that much easier if you’re busy and pressed on time. Maybe you want to quickly place a wager of some sort before you head out the door for the night? Programs like Siri and Alexa have you covered.

The Growth Of Sports Betting In The U.S.

Sports betting was illegal in most parts of the United States for nearly 28 years from Oct. 28, 1992 up until May 2018 under the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA).

But in May 2018, the Supreme Court of the United States made a groundbreaking decision by overturning the PASPA. The Supreme Court ruled that the act was a violation of the country’s Tenth Amendment, thus allowing all 50 states to launch mobile/online and/or in-person sports betting if they so desired.

Nevada had been an exception from the PASPA. After the Supreme Court’s ruling, New Jersey, Delaware and Mississippi became the first three states to join Nevada in the legalization of sports betting.

Here we are in the second half of 2023 now, and sports betting is now legal in 37 different states.

North America’s “Big Four” professional sports leagues in the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB all have partnerships with some of the nation’s sportsbooks. As well, individual clubs even have their own partnerships with premier sportsbooks.

When you watch a sports game on television, you’ll often see them displaying betting odds from sportsbooks like Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel. The league makes money through ads, and the exposure brings more customers toward the sportsbooks.
